DURAPOST® FENCING NOW STOCKED IN WICKES

 Birkdale’s popular DuraPost® range of fence post and panel products is now available in Wickes for the first time. The range, including the company’s signature steel DuraPost® posts, combines a sleek modern aesthetic with durable and resilient materials, creating the ultimate low hassle, long-lasting fencing system that is guaranteed for up to 15 years.

Previously only available through builders’ and timber merchants, the following DuraPost® products are now available from Wickes, both in store and online:

• DuraPost galvanised steel fence posts in a range of colours, including anthracite grey
• DuraPost PRIMA®composite boards in anthracite grey and sepia brown
• DuraPost VENTO® composite fence panels in anthracite grey and sepia brown
• DuraPost URBAN® composite slatted panels in natural, charcoal, sepia brown and the new light grey colour.
• All accompanying accessories and hardware, including post caps, capping rails and colour-matched screws.

At just 8kg per post, DuraPost® is 80% lighter than a conventional concrete alternative, making it easy for anyone to transport and install. The installation itself is also incredibly simple and Birkdale offers clear, practical advice with its online Fence Buying Guide should it be needed. Its friendly team are also on hand to contact for further guidance.

In addition, Wickes is now also stocking the versatile DuraPost VENTO® composite panels that allow you to achieve different types of fencing styles such as close-board and ‘Hit and Miss’ fencing. Made from a minimum 60% recycled plastic, VENTO panels are designed to mimic the texture of wood without any of the structural drawbacks; consequently, the panels are naturally resistant to rot, splitting, warping and cracking and do not require painting, treating or staining.

Similarly, the versatile URBAN slatted panel – available in four colours – has a flexible design to suit any garden and can be orientated horizontally or vertically. This, combined with Birkdale’s most realistic timber grain effect, creates a striking modern finish to suit any taste.

Finally, DuraPost PRIMA® composite boards are stackable and feature a tongue and groove connection for complete privacy and safety. They are made from 70% recycled plastic with a virgin PVCu skin and offer incredible strength over alternative panelling systems. Just like VENTO and URBAN, PRIMA panels are resistant to mould and rot, maintaining their timber-look finish, whilst remaining incredibly low maintenance.

Composite panel products are superior to timber when exposed to harsh weather conditions, UV rays and other environmental factors such as insects and mould.  As a result, all DuraPost® panel products are backed by 15-year guarantee – far longer than timber equivalents, while DuraPost® steel fence posts are guaranteed for up to 25 years.
